How to Grow
Everlasting Daisies

Growing Everlastings is both fun and easy.

How-To Video

To learn how to grow Everlasting Flowers, watch our helpful video or follow the steps below.

Pick the perfect spot

Everlastings will grow in most conditions.

They tolerate cold weather, frost, waterlogging, heat, coastal, tropical, and little sunlight conditions.

For best results Plant in autumn in a well drained soil, give them access to sunlight (for at least part of the day) and choose a relatively weed-free site.

Step One

Step Two

Prepare the ground

Rake or lightly dig the soil so it is soft and crumbly.

Everlastings aren’t fussy – just make sure The area is Weed Free and not too rich in Fertiliser.

Keep an eye out for pests and any sneaky snails – they can munch through your tiny seasonings before you even notice!

Sprinkle the magic

Scatter the seeds evenly over the soil – just 10 grams will cover around 10 square metres, so a little goes a long way!

Lightly rake the surface so they are covered by the soil, but don’t bury them too deep!

Decide on preventative snail control measures to prevent disappointment.

The optimal time to plant can be seen in the sowing guide below.

Step Three

Step Four

Give them a drink

Water gently – A light sprinkle is perfect.

Keep the soil damp until the little green shoots appear.

After that, they’ll take care of themselves with sunshine and the odd shower.

After approximately six weeks of growth, you may apply a light sprinkle of a good all-purpose fertiliser, along with trace elements if your soil is nutrient-deficient.

While this isn’t essential, it can give your Everlastings a boost and make the flowers even more bold and bright!

Watch the magic happen

In a short while, your paddock, garden bed or pot will be bursting with cheerful Everlastings!

Be sure to take photos, share smiles and enjoy your field of sunshine!
